Canadian lawyer-linguist Suzanne Deliscar is presenting a two-part online course for translators who want to learn how to translate French contracts and expand their bilingual French-English legal terminology.

Deliscar, principal of Deliscar Professional Corporation, and Magistrad have previously offered this course as a full-day in-person workshop, and are offering this course to provide translators with a two-fold training experience. Firstly, translators will learn how to translate contracts from a variety of practice areas, including terminological research and current legal writing standards. Secondly, translators will learn how to identify the important standard provisions in a contract.

By the end of the session, attendees will have learned how to translate French language contracts into English, expand their legal terminology database, and identify important standard provisions in contracts.

‘Translating French Contracts’ takes place online on August 25, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and on August 28, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
