“An International Overview – Legal Terminology” – Five-Part Webinar Series starts April 1, 2016

The “An International Overview: Legal Terminology” Series is a 5-part course taught by Suzanne E. Deliscar, Lawyer-Linguist in conjunction with ProZ.com (www.suzannedeliscar.ca/presentations/for-linguists), as the first step in understanding legal terminology across multiple jurisdictions. It is designed for translators who are beginning to work in the legal translation specialty, or seasoned legal translators looking for a refresher course. At the end of this course, attendees will have increased knowledge with regard to specific terminology found in various legal documents.

April 1, 2016 – “An International Overview: Trademarks Terminology” – 1 hour- 12 PM EDT
April 8, 2016 – “An International Overview: Copyright Terminology” – 1 hour – 12 PM EDT
April 15, 2016 – “An International Overview:  Civil Litigation Terminology” – 1 hour – 12 PM EDT
April 22, 2016 – “An International Overview: Public International Law Terminology” – 1 hour – 12 PM EDT
April 29, 2016 – “An International Overview: Privacy and Confidential Information” – 1 hour – 12 PM EDT

Target Audience: Translators who want to start working in the legal translation field, or seasoned legal translators looking for a refresher course.

Cost: 35 USD per session.

Prerequisites: None.
